Morclean Backs Matlock Rugby Club’s New Clubhouse Project
Buy a Brick!
Matlock Rugby Club, AKA ‘The Baileans’, is launching an exciting project to replace its ageing 50-year-old clubhouse with a modern, sustainable facility for future generations. The club’s first crowdfunding phase aims to raise £50,000 to upgrade essential utilities before construction begins.
Morclean is proud to support the initiative by purchasing ‘a brick’. With a shared commitment to sustainability and community development, Morclean recognises the value of investing in local clubs that promote teamwork, inclusivity, and personal growth.
The current clubhouse, used by over 400 players, families, and visitors each week, suffers from poor insulation, leaks, and structural deterioration.
The new facility will offer accessible, energy-efficient spaces for all 15 of the club’s teams – including men’s, women’s, junior, and SEND tag rugby squads – while strengthening the club’s role as a vibrant community hub.

You can support the project in several ways:
Donate: Every contribution helps build the new clubhouse.
Buy a Brick (£500): Have your name featured in the new building.
Spread the Word: Share the campaign on social media.
Corporate Sponsorship: Businesses can sponsor the project and showcase their community commitment.
Morclean invites individuals and local organisations to join in supporting Matlock Rugby Club’s vision. Together, we can help create a modern, nclusive, and sustainable home for sport and community life in Matlock.
