The SiltGuard SG1200/TE Vehicle Wash Silt Interceptor is constructed from durable, chemical-resistant high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and offers a generous 1,200L capacity. It is designed to withstand harsh wash chemicals and demanding environmental conditions.
Capable of processing up to 6,000 wash cycles before requiring emptying, the SG1200/TE is well suited to high-volume vehicle wash applications, including commercial car washes, fleet depots, and selected industrial operations.
This Top-Entry Silt guard features a large 600mm x 600mm clear inspection opening fitted with a D400 load-rated grating, allowing contaminated wash water to flow directly into the unit. Alternatively, a range of single-stage units is available with solid access covers instead of gratings.
Maintenance is simple and efficient, with a fully accessible grate that allows for easy inspection, cleaning, and removal of accumulated debris. The Top-Entry design further supports quick servicing without the need for specialised tools.
With a silt retention capacity of up to 1,700Kg, the SG1200/TE enables longer maintenance intervals, depending on vehicle type and usage. This helps reduce operational downtime and improve overall efficiency.

When paired with a conventional pressure washer or brush wash system used for cars and light commercial vehicles, the unit is capable of delivering a minimum of around 1,000 wash cycles and potentially as many as 6,000 wash cycles before emptying is required, depending on vehicle size, contamination levels, and operating conditions.
