Tender to supply 25 Type 'H' vacuums - Morclean deliver the goods

Morclean were asked to supply a single Type 'H' vacuum cleaner to the Hemel Hempstead based local authority for sample building project work on an emergency overnight 9.00am timed delivery basis. After successful and conclusive testing Morclean were able to supply 24 more units in a more reasonable one week delivery time.

Morclean supply Type 'H' hazardous dust vacuums for removal of asbestos or other areas including Zone 2 explosive atmospheres where filtration efficiency is a must. All Morclean Type 'H' vacuums are provided with a test certificate for filtration efficiency and earth path continuity.

Winston Churchill's Archives are hazardous to health

After supplying several vacuum units to Colleges in and around the Cambridge area, Morclean were recommended to and then approached by the management team responsible for Churchill's Archives. After years of storage, books and files can contain hazardous spores and dust that is hazardous to health once disturbed. Morclean were delighted to supply the appropriate high filtration units to the archives, one of the range of specialist hazardous dust vacuums. Morclean hazardous dust or asbestos vacuums are available in both electrically or air driven units.

Isle of Wight based boatbuilders

Glass debris - a problem solved

Simms Leppard provides quality and precision steel fabrications, including a boat building operation on the island. Morclean was please to supply a specialist vacuum cleaner for containing swarf and steel turnings to their prestigious premises in Newport IOW.

Based at Nr Manchester, Pilkington Glass has purchased new vacuum cleaners for their Salford factory for the removal of glass debris from work stations throughout the factory.

Commonwealth Games 2002 - presents a sticky problem

Just weeks before the Commonwealth Games were due to open, Morclean received a frantic telephone call and then a motorbike courier delivery of a liquid hand soap dispenser from the organizers in the Manchester Stadium. With days to go - and a last minute change of sponsorship - the games organisers were left with hundreds of hand soap dispensers containing the wrong soap.

Removing each dispenser from the wall to empty via the tiny opening then rinse out with a steam cleaner was not a prospect the organisers looked forward to. That is until Morclean developed, and delivered within 48 hours, a specialist vacuum and extraction machine that could empty clean and rinse each dispenser quickly and in one operation while still fitted to the wall. The unit enable the work to be completed on time and saving hundreds of man hours in the process.

Morclean Back Pack vacuum cleaners "time saving - and sheer flexibility"

EC-EX Engineering are delighted to have placed orders for a quantity of Morclean BP1 back pack vacuum cleaners. Based at Long Lane, Hermitage, Thatcham in Berks, EC-EX needed to assist their site team in the cleaning of ceiling void located fan coil units with particular reference to the dust filtration. While initially enquiring, EC-EX Engineering explained this is an annual contract and requires that their staff work at between 2 and 3 metres off ground level where conventional cleaners (even those with long hoses) are not as practical.

Mr Richard Betts of EC-EX Engineering said "I have tested the units Morclean supplied and know that in time saving - and sheer flexibility they will pay for themselves in no time at all, as we now only need a two man team per floor instead of a three man team!"

The Morclean BP1 vacuum cleaners are cylinder based, and available in 5 standard models, with accessories and attachments to suit any cleaning task. Models in the back pack vacuum cleaner range include dry pick up, and safety motors for accidental wet pick up, plus extra large tools and aircraft specification versions. Morclean back pack vacuum cleaners are light weight (only 4.2kg) and because of their design the unit does not press onto the operators back, reducing any heat transfer from the machine to the operator.

A most unusual request from the Fish Industry

Morclean were recently contacted by Mr Alan Sandham of the Southern Fish Industry Training Association Ltd (SFITA) Part of the SFITA's Training involves sea survival courses using LIfe Rafts. So how could Morclean help?

Mr Alan Sandham of SFITA said that during a sea survival course, a Life Raft has to be inflated quickly - and they required a machine to do this. So, Morclean supplied a Model 'N' series vacuum cleaner with a special external vent with a hose attached - thus using the vacuum cleaner as an air pump instead.

Mr Alan Sandham said the Association was set up as a non-profit making organisation in 1981 to provide safety training for the seagoing sector of the industry in Dorset and Hampshire. Since then, the Association has widened it's area of operations to cover the whole of the south east, from Lyme Regis to the Medway. In 1988, the SFITA increased their industry coverage in order to assist the onshore sectors, and now provide direct training and assistance to all sectors of the industry.

Morclean specialise in bespoke supply of both cleaning equipment and tailor made cleaning solutions, and were pleased to help with this project - however unusual. The Morclean range of wet and dry vacuum cleaners are available in various options of power with 240 and 110 volt motors ranging up to 3000w, and capacities from 9trs to 200ltrs.

Aberdeen Offshore Company purchase vacuum units

Hofman Offshore Ltd, based at the Norton Centre, Poynernook Road, Aberdeen have purchased Morclean vacuum cleaner units for cleaning cabins and galleys on sea going vessels. Hofman are one of the foremost suppliers of consumables and chandlery to both shipping and oil rigs in the North Sea and abroad, and obtained accreditation to ISO 9002 quality assurance scheme in 1993. Hofman endeavour to maintain the highest standards in both product and service.

The Company purchased Morclean M250 vacuum cleaner models for their durability, as the powerful 1000w motor is housed in a compact yet durable heavy duty steel container. After the initial enquiry for cleaning equipment, Hofman Offshore's Mr Garry Kidd said simply "Thank you for all your help and assistance" after receiving technical information and advice from Morclean on the most suitable vacuum cleaner for their application

Punting down the river

Cambridge based Scudamores provides punts for hire on the river Camb. Boats that are moored at the three sites eventually fill with river and rain water, and become littered with leaves, paper and debris. Until recently this all had to be laboriously bailed out by hand.

Morclean was approached by James Scudamore to provide a solution to this problem, and subsequently designed and supplied several specialist vacuum units. The vacuum system provided removes all the water from the craft, and separates the debris, leaves and paper into a special filter. The machines then discharge all the clean river water, minus the debris, back into the river.

Hazardous Dust Vacuums

Following an enquiry from the Netherlands, Morclean was horrified to learn that there are still operatives using ordinary vacuums for the removal of highly dangerous asbestos dust. Morclean has an extended range of Hazardous dust vacuums, fitted with special filters, for use with numerous hazardous and nuisance dusts in numerous environments - including asbestos removal.
