Zone Rated Pressure Washers
Electrical and non electrical equipment and installations in potentially explosive atmospheres must be specially designed and constructed so that the risks of ignition are eliminated or reduced.
All new equipment must comply with The Equipment and Protective Systems Intended for Use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 1996 that implements the European ATEX Directive. This requires it to be assessed as suitable for a particular explosive atmosphere type and for this to be marked on the equipment along with CE and ATEX markings.

Below are typical examples of ATEX pressure washers we can supply. These machines are constructed of a robust steel chassis which is stove enamelled with a stainless steel cover, are available in mobile or stationary models and include 10m high pressure hose, gun and lance.

Electrically Heated Stationary
The Electrically Heated Stationary cabinets come complete with removable lid for easy servicing and are constructed of either robust steel, which is stove enamelled or stainless steel. This is ideal for anyone who requires a fixed, secure, safe unit. They are each built to the customer's specification and can be supplied in any colour. These units come complete with variable pressure control, thermostat, thermal overloads, auto time shut down, 10m high pressure hose, gun and lance.

The requirements within a zoned area are specific and varied, therefore all our ATEX high pressure washers are built to order on a bespoke basis.
In order to provide a proposal and quotation for an ATEX high pressure cleaner we would require its exact ATEX zone rating from the client due to the diversity and individual requirements on your site.

Case Study 3 - Oil Platform
Electrically heated zone 1 pressure cleaner with the performance of 200 bar at 15 litres per minute, 600v 3 Phase 60Hz. It heats its water up to a temperature of 80ºC.
